Salmon Festival Scholarship-$1,000 for a WHS graduating senior with at least a 3.0 GPA, planning to study in an environmental, art or journalism related field. Answer 4 essay questions listed on a flyer that is available in the counseling office. Essays should be emailed to Carol Scianna at cosmozz795@gmail.com no later than April 9, 2021.
Winters Youth Day Scholarship-$500 scholarship for a Winters High School senior that will be attending a UC, CSU, community college, or trade/technical school. Must have at least a 2.5 GPA. Paper applications available in the counseling office and Google Classroom Class of 2021. Applications due to Marcella no later than 3:00pm April 14, 2021.
McMahon-Graf Scholarship-Scholarship for graduating seniors from Winters High School that will major in Agriculture, natural resources, agri-business or education. Paper applications are available in the counseling office and Class of 2021 Google Classroom. Applications due to Marcella no later than April 29, 2021.
Burns-Bellhorn Scholarship-$2,000 scholarship for a graduating senior from Winters High School. The scholarship is for students who wish to learn a trade or go into business or other endeavours that are different from the usual careers provided by a standard 4 year college education. Paper applications are available in the counseling office and on the Class of 2021 Google Classroom. Application deadline is April 30, 2021
Julie Orosco Education Scholarship-$1,500 scholarship for a Winters High School senior. If you would like to pursue a future in education please consider applying to this scholarship. Applications available via email and on Class of 2021 Google Classroom. Applications are due to Marcella no later than April 30, 2021.
Soroptimist Club of Winters-This scholarship benefits girls who study hard but are not necessarily at the top of the class, participate in various school activities, show respect and concern for fellow students, faculty and community members. Female seniors at Winters High School are eligible to apply. Paper applications available in the counseling office or on Google Classroom Class of 2021. Applications due to Marcella by 9am, Friday, April 30, 2021.
Sutter Davis Hospital Auxiliary Volunteer Scholarship-Scholarship for a senior that is interested in pursuing a career related to the human health sciences. Application available online at https://feedback.sutterhealth.org/f/151885/31b9/ Application deadline is April 30, 2021.
Jared Davis Memorial Scholarship-Scholarship for a Winters High School graduating senior, must plan on attending a 4 year college/university, a community college or trade/technical school. Essay required. Information sheet with essay requirements available in the counseling office and Class of 2021 Google Classroom. All materials must be submitted to Marcella no later than May 3, 2021.
Frank Ramos-Winters Lions Club-Scholarship available to Winters High School seniors. Paper applications available in the counseling office. Applications are due no later than May 7, 2021.
Humanist, Secular, Good without God-$2,500 scholarship. Open to graduating WHS seniors accepted to and planning to attend any public institution of higher education. Write an article or essay to be published in the Winters Express about one or more of the following: 1. Being good without a god, 2. Secular versus theist issues, 3. Humanist thought and why it is superior, 4. Non-faith living, 5. The benefits of keeping religion out of public policy, 6. Any related ideas educating and promoting a non-theist or secular society. Submit essays/articles to rrnick@gmail.com no later than May 7, 2021. Paper flyers regarding this scholarship are available in the counseling office.
Kids’ Chance California-$1,000-$10,000 Scholarship for students whose parent/legal guardian was killed on the job or had a serious injury that significantly reduced their family’s financial income. Application available online at www.apply.kidschanceca.org application deadline is May 15, 2021.
Rotary Club of Woodland Sunshine/Watts Family Scholarship-$500-$2,000 scholarship to Yolo County High School graduates studying to learn a marketable trade/technical degree. Paper applications available in the counseling office and Class of 2021 Google Classroom. Application deadline is May 15, 2021.
