PB&J Scholarship-$500-$1,000 scholarship award. The PB&J scholarship is for students who have experienced personal challenges that may not have allowed them to perform well academically, but who still have the drive to succeed. Examples of personal challenges include, but are not limited to: medical issues, peer issues (bullying, change of school, minority status, etc), family issues (divorce, death, lack of income, homelessness, foster care, abuse, etc). Application must be filled out online at bit.ly/pbjscholarship2021 Priority deadline is December 31, 2020.
California Wine Grape Growers Association-$2,000 or $8,000 scholarships. If your parent or legal guardian is employed by a wine grape grower you are eligible to apply for this scholarship. $2,000 scholarship if you plan to attend a California Community College, $8,000 if you plan to attend a CSU or UC. Applications are available online cawgfoundation.org application deadline is March 5, 2021.
Italian Catholic Federation-Must have a GPA of at least 3.2, be Roman Catholic and of Italian descent or if either Catholic parent/guardian or grandparent is a member of the Italian Catholic Federation, the student must be Catholic but need not be of Italian descent. Applications available online at www.icf.org application deadline is March 15, 2021.
Julia R. Millon Memorial Scholarship-$1,500 scholarship for a student living in the boundaries of the Winters School District. Julia graduated from WHS in 2008 and UC Berkeley in 2012. Students must have at least a 2.5 GPA, plan to attend college or trade/technical school in the fall. Applications available online at www.sacregcf.org/students click on find scholarships and scroll down to to find Julia R. Million Memorial Scholarship. Application deadline is March 12, 2021.
Sacramento Region Community Foundation-26 different scholarship opportunities available at this website. Scholarships range from $500 to $10,000. Check out the website at www.sacregcf.org/students click on find scholarships and click on the scholarships to see if you qualify! Due dates start on March 12, 2021.
Yolo Youth Service Awards-$1,000 scholarship for student volunteers. Must have volunteered at least 60 hours with a recognized Yolo County nonprofit organization during 11th and 12 grade, demonstration of leadership, commitment to public service, maturity and reliability. If you win the $1,000 scholarship, the nonprofit that you volunteer with will be awarded a $500 grant. Application available online at www.sacregcf.org/students click on find scholarships and scroll down to find Yolo Youth Service Awards. Application deadline is March 12, 2021
Julie Orosco Education Scholarship-$1,500 scholarship for a Winters High School senior. If you would like to pursue a future in education please consider applying to this scholarship. Applications available via email and on Class of 2021 Google Classroom. Applications are due to Marcella no later than April 30, 2021.
